Whirlwind tour with .NET from the backend to the frontend
A day before the conference (May 23, 2022) I’m doing a one-day workshop:
In this one day you’ll see building Minimal API with ASP.NET Core, using Entity Framework Core accessing the Cosmos database, making use of the Azure Active Directory, running with Azure Container Apps and using Blazor as well as WinUI for the client. Attending this day you’ll get access to a cool private repo!
C# and .NET – What’s new?
During the conference I’m giving two presentations. The first one is about news with C# and .NET:
C# 10 and .NET 6 were released in 2021, and C# 11 is coming in November 2022. What’s new with the latest versions? What’s coming? C# 10 included record structs, global using directives, file-scoped namespace declarations, natural delegate types, and more. Some highlights of expected C# 11 features list patterns, parameter null-checking, and raw string literals. You will learn what’s new and what’s coming with .NET and C#.
Real-time communication with SignalR
The second presentation is about SignalR:
SignalR offers an abstraction layer to WebSockets and gives you an easy way to send data from the server to multiple clients. This can not only be used with chat applications, but also to e.g. let multiple users work on the same data. In this session you learn the foundations of SignalR with .NET frontends and backends, and extend the custom host with ASP.NET Core by using the Azure SignalR service. You’ll also learn about async streaming with SignalR.
